Fluxmere Glamping Retreat – Terms & Conditions

1. Booking Clarifications

Minimum 2-night booking policy.
Minimum 3-night booking policy over bank holidays.
All Yurts accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. An extra child can be added for £10 per night (this includes a quality camp bed and bedding).
Check-in time: 2pm. Check-out time: 10am.

2. Payments

50% of the total booking is required to confirm all bookings.
The remaining 50% is then due 4 weeks prior to arrival date.
If the balance is not received, the booking will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded.
Payment methods: Bank transfer or via online booking system

3. Cancellations

If you cancel your booking:
- More than 6 weeks before your stay: full refund given.
- Less than 6 weeks before your stay: 50% refund given (if we are able to rebook your accommodation, we will refund the full 100%)
- Within 2 weeks of arrival: no refund given
We recommend taking out holiday insurance to cover cancellations or unforeseen events.
Cancellation refunds at manager’s discretion for unforeseen circumstances.
We are a small business so we appreciate letting us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

4. Site Rules

Fluxmere is a small, peaceful site. Please respect other guests, neighbours, and wildlife.

5. Dogs

Please always keep dogs on a lead and supervised by an adult
Please clean up after your dog – we provide poo bags if needed
No dogs allowed in any of the lakes
XL Bully dogs accepted on site as long as they have valid certification and must be kept muzzled in public areas

6. Solar Power & Off-Grid Living

Fluxmere operates on solar energy, which can be weather-dependent. This may affect lighting, charging, or Wi-Fi availability.
Please avoid using high-wattage devices (e.g., hairdryers, kettles, irons).
We cannot be held responsible for outages due to solar variation.
We operate on gas water heating, please keep showers to a minimum and water pressure can sometimes be low.

6. Adverse Weather Conditions

In the event of extremely high winds or unsafe conditions, all yurts must be evacuated.
If your accommodation becomes unusable, a refund will be issued for affected nights only.
No refunds or rescheduling for normal weather (rain, cold, wind).

7. Safety on Site

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
Lake gate must be kept shut and locked at all times
Floatation aids are provided for emergencies near the lake
Children play in children’s playing field at their own risk
Campfires must only be in the designated fire pits and cannot be moved
Campfires to be supervised by an adult who cannot be under the influence of alcohal
BBQs only in the designated fire pits
The booking holder is responsible for all members of their party
First aid kits and fire extinguishers can be found in every yurt/safari tent
A copy of Fluxmere risk assessment and accident book can be found in reception

Fluxmere Glamping accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, or damage to personal property.

8. Waste & Environment

Please separate recycling and general waste using the bins provided by reception.
Use eco-friendly toiletries to protect our systems.
Avoid glitter, confetti, or non-biodegradable items.
Please leave accommodation tidy and in good condition at check-out.

9. Vehicles & Parking

Cars must remain in the designated parking area. No vehicles are allowed on grass near yurts or tents.
We provide buggies to transport your luggage to your accommodation.
Guests park at their own risk.

10. Liability & Force Majeure

We cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation for events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, power failure, pandemic, or government restrictions).

Booking with us constitutes acceptance of these terms by you and your party.
